EPC Solutions Ltd
All residential homes with three bedrooms or more offered for sale in England and Wales are required to have a Home Information Pack (HIP).
An integral part of the HIP is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP)
The government has issued a Standard Assessment Procedure, used for calculating the SAP rating, which assesses the annual energy costs for space and water heating. The SAP also includes the Carbon Index, which rates the annual CO2 emissions associated with this energy usage.
This has led to a demand for trained Domestic Energy Assessors. EPC Solutions provides everything that a Domestic Energy Assessor needs, including:
- Training for the Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment (DipDEA).
- Our unique software, available for PDAs and PCs, with a BRE-approved RDSAP engine that performs the EPC calculation at the point of survey and displays the results exactly as displayed on the certificate. This permits DEAs using a PDA to check the results whilst on site, reducing paperwork and eliminating any need for revisits.
- Membership of EPC's government-approved accreditation scheme.
Part of ECMK: 16 years' experience in issuing EPCs
EPC Solutions is a division of ECMK, a government approved Energy Rating Organisation and member of the ABBE exam board for the DipDEA. It is a well-established company that has been providing energy ratings for more than 16 years and has extensive experience in training, examining and providing software and services to the public and domestic housing industries.
Training for DEAs, recognised by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) for the DipDEA.
Our ‘Pocket EPC’ and ‘Energy Reporter’ software for PDAs and laptops, developed exclusively in-house, have a unique embedded calculation engine permitting the complete EPC calculation to be performed on a PDA or PC prior to transmission.
Membership of our accreditation scheme enables DEAs to issue Energy Performance Certificates and brings many other benefits.
