Health Authority Building EPC
The EPC illustrated below was produced following a site audit of the building, located in Luton. The single storey hospital care unit building, which was a modern 1998 construction, has double-glazed windows and an energy efficient electric radiant heating system.
The rating of B reflects the health sector building status within the area of the asset rating certificate. This building had weather compensated heating and energy efficient T5 lighting.
As the building was due be sold (transferred to a new health trust), it required a compliant EPC certificate and Recommendation Report.
The subsequent report highlighted that a DEC was also required in order to be compliant, as the building was 476 square metres over the 1,000 square metres threshold. It also revealed that the air conditioning on site was below the 12 kW requirements and would need a separate air conditioning report.
