Join our Domestic Energy Assessor Certification Scheme
DEAs must be members of a certification scheme in order to issue Energy Performance Certificates.
EPC Ltd is approved to operate a Domestic Energy Assessor Certification Scheme: through our server link to Quest Associates, we offer membership of the largest network of DEAs in the country, which is already contracted to carry out assessments for over 100 leading pack providers - more than any other organisation. We also provide the only true PDA software with embedded RDSAP providing an on-screen display of the Energy Performance Certificate before it is sent to Landmark for registration.
The certification scheme is a form of quality control and it is our responsibility to:
- Ensure that all members are both competent and qualified
- Make certain that members are 'fit and proper' people to enter homes: this will include a check with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and your agreement to comply with our code of Conduct
- Validate and issue Energy Performance Certificates
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of members' work
- Confirm that members have appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Institute a process for handling complaints fairly and quickly.
